Bubble Types

As you travel around the witches realm you will encounter different bubbles to challenge you. 

Following is a rundown of the bubbles you will meet and 

how to deal with them.

BLACK BUBBLES

First are the BLACK bubbles, from level 16.

You cannot burst these so you have to shoot the bubbles above them to make them drop.

Here I can shoot the green bubbles to drop the 

row of black ones.

TIP. If you have 10 spiders and some of them are blue, 

you can shoot a black bubble with your rainbow bubble

 to get a GREEN spider!

POISON SPIDER BUBBLES

Next at level 26 you will meet the POISON bubbles.

If you burst these they will spill poison onto your spiders

 and kill them!

They don't always hit your spiders as the poison doesn't 

fall straight down but try to avoid hitting them if you 

have GREEN spiders. 

 Usually though it's best to burst then early to get rid of them.

Here you see I've just shot 2 poison spiders and the poison is falling and MAY kill the gold spider underneath it. 

DOOM BUBBLES

Next, from level 36, are the DOOM bubbles!
These are the most dangerous bubbles in the game!
If you hit these you will lose the game and lose a life!

 BE VERY CAREFUL!

VIRUS BUBBLES

At level 46 you will see the virus bubbles for the first time.
Bubbles infected with the virus will infect the bubbles next to them every time you shoot.
The good thing is that they only grow downwards, never up or across, and they only grow one bubble at a time.

 There are two ways of dealing with the virus bubbles.

First you need to shoot below them as shown in 
the  picture. 
This removes the bubbles which they would infect so they have nowhere to go.

Then you can shoot above them to drop them in the same way as you did with the black bubbles.

BOMBS

Next there are the BOMBS! Introduced at level 76.
The bombs are harmless as long as they are 
surrounded by bubbles. 
But as soon as you remove a touching bubble the countdown starts!

Once the countdown starts you have 9 shots before the bomb will explode.
There are 2 ways of dealing with the bombs. One is to drop it before it explodes. See above.

The other way is to plug the hole up again. See below.

If you put a bubble in the space it will stop the countdown and give you more time to drop the bomb or finish the game.
But beware! 
If you uncover the bomb again the countdown will start 
again where it left off!

CRYSTAL BUBBLES

At level 86 you will encounter the crystal bubbles.
These bubbles are encased in Ice which has to be broken before you can burst them.

To break the ice you must burst the bubbles next to them.
Once the ice is broken they are normal bubbles. 
You can use a rainbow bubble to break them also.

MORPH BUBBLES

Introduced at level 106. These cause the most difficulty 
for some people. 
 They change colour with every shot.
The morph bubbles shimmer so you can tell which they are.

As you can see from the pictures the 6 bubbles inside the circles have changed from blue to yellow as I shoot.
Also in this game if you look carefully you can see that some greens have also changed to red.
To conquer these bubbles you need to watch to see which colour the bubbles change to when you shoot.
They only change between two colours. 

These colours are:

RED Only changes to GREEN or DARK BLUE

DARK BLUE  Only  changes  to  RED  or  BLUE

BLUE Only changes to DARK BLUE or YELLOW

YELLOW     Only  changes   to  BLUE  or  GREEN
 

GREEN   Only  changes  to  YELLOW   or  RED

There are only two colours that each bubble can change to so if you have no RED bubbles then the Green
 HAS to change to yellow.
If you have no GREEN bubbles the yellow HAS to 
change to blue. 
But the easiest way to see which colours they change to 
is to watch when you shoot your first one or two bubbles 
and see which colours they change to. 

GHOST  CHAINS

These appear at level 116. You must match the lock bubble with at least one other of the same colour 
before you can unlock it.  
 

 

You can see this one is ready to be unlocked. 
You can't touch anything above the chain 
until it is unlocked. 
If there are virus bubbles above the chain they will only 
start to grow once the chain is open.

MYSTERY BUBBLES

First introduced at level 130. 
These are my favourite bubbles!
Mystery bubbles change into different bubbles when you burst them. You don't need a pair, you can 
just shoot one to see what's inside! 

They have a question mark on them.
 

The bad thing about the mystery bubbles is that they can become BOMBS or VIRUS.

The good thing is that they can become EXTRA BUBBLES, either increasing your bubbles in the cauldron or falling into the jars to score or RAINBOW bubbles.

They can also become BLACK bubbles.

But the REALLY GOOD thing about them is that they can turn your BLUE spiders into GREEN ones!

As long as you have TEN spiders and some 

of them are BLUE.

Every time you hit a mystery bubble it will turn a blue spider to green!

SHADOW BUBBLES

Shadow bubbles appear first al level 166. This is the first of the triple round levels.

 Shadow bubbles pulsate with black shadows around them.

Every time you shoot a bubble they spread to the 

touching bubbles. 

They will spread in every direction.

You can shoot them in the same way as normal

 bubbles but for every one you burst a bubble will 

fly out of your cauldron.

The best way to deal with them is to try to burst them at the beginning of the game, before they have a chance so spread.

Once they have spread try not to burst large groups as you are likely to run out of bubbles.
